ICMS Race Track Safety Program

Friday, December 13, 2019 will be the fifth annual RACE TRACK SAFETY PROGRAM (RTSP) presented in conjunction with the Annual Congress of the International Council of Motorsport Sciences (ICMS) during the Performance Racing Industry (PRI).

A welcome change in the RTSP venue was provided to accommodate growing demands in the program.  This year the RTSP will be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.  PRI has offered the RTSP room inside and outside the stadium for the all-day practical training along with rooms for the luncheon. For those attending the ICMS Annual Conference and the PRI show, the RTSP is again at the event location.

This expanded one-day program will consist entirely of Hands-on Practical Sessions geared especially for local short tracks, road courses, drag strips and rally events around the United States and Canada. Emphasis this year will be on Team Approach to Incidents.

This year the RTSP will offer two certified training tracks through SFI: Fire/Rescue and Medical. The SFI Certification will be an additional part of the regular Race Track Safety Program. For those interested, an online didactic pre-practical session must be completed.

For those that will be attending or planning to attend the ICMS conference on Wednesday and Thursday, the afternoon sessions on Thursday will be geared toward on-track responders.

The target audience for this unique program is the small race track operations personnel especially Emergency Medical Services and Fire & Rescue team members. They will learn from the experts in the field the most efficient and the safest procedures of responding to race track incidents.

Registration for the event is available now and is $75.00 (includes entry to PRI Trade Show). Registration ends December 6, 2019 and there will be no late or on-site registration available.  SFI Certification cost will be an additional $40.00 (for a total of $115.00). Continuing Education (CE) Credits are available to attendees as well as an Educational Tax Receipt.
